Analog 0-5V Linear Wire Displacement Sensor: Revolutionize Your Measurement Solutions

Industry Applications

The 0-5V Linear Displacement Sensor is perfect for a wide range of industries, measuring absolute positions in automated guided vehicle systems (AGVs), industrial trucks, commercial vehicles, packaging machines, and logistics operations. It’s also suitable for agricultural and forestry machinery, construction and mining equipment, as well as special and municipal vehicles, making it an invaluable tool for enhancing efficiency and accuracy across diverse applications.

FAQ: How to Calculate Displacement Length

1.Determine Key Values: Find the inner wheel perimeter and the resolution of your purchased sensor. For example, the BRT38-0.5M model has a range of 500mm and a resolution of 4096 pulses per revolution (PPR).

2. Record Position Values: During use, note the position values from the sensor before and after pulling the rope. Let’s call these values X1 (initial position) and X2 (final position).

Method 1:For the BRT38-0.5M sensor (500mm range, 4096 PPR) and a wheel diameter of 100mm, use this formula:

Length = (X2 – X1) * 100 / 4096 mm.

Method 2:Alternatively, using the actual resolution of the BRT38-0.5M, which is 0.0244mm, the formula is:

Length = (X2 – X1) * 0.0244 mm.

This method allows you to easily calculate the displacement length based on your specific sensor model.
